The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands

Rotary International President: John Kenny

District 7930 Governor:  Ingrid Brown

December 22, 2009 Today’s meeting was called to order by President Brian. PP Bruce recited the prayer and Tom led us in the singing of “God Bless America”. Secretary Paula introduced member guests former Rotarian Ron Acbertelli and guest of Lois Hutchinson, Marilin Gozdon. Madelyn Garcia became a Club Guest by attending her fourth consecutive meeting. Sergio was celebrating a birthday and PP Saritin had an anniversary this week. There were 30 people in attendance. Sergeant-at-Arms Mitch announced that those who have yet to finish Christmas shopping would have to pay the general fine. PP Patrick paid the general fine and was glad his grandmother suggested he buy shovels but a snow blower would have been more helpful after the snow on Sunday. Juan paid the general fine and thanked Kevin and Madelyn’s friends for their donation to the Colombia Project. He was thankful for the donation of six boxes of medical equipment. PP Bruce paid the general fine and was happy for the Patriots win. Joe also paid the general fine and was very happy for his granddaughter’s first visit to Massachusetts in 3 days. Sergeant-at-Arms Mitch was not happy for the snow and glad his son was home for Christmas. He was also happy to see the crowd. President Brian announced the Interact Club wants to plan a government day for the City of Chelsea. The Rotary Rose Parade Float Committee is accepting donations. ROCA, CAPIC, and St. Luke’s Church sent thank you and Happy Holiday cards to the club. Ended the meeting by playing pass the gift. Newest Rotarian Kevin was the winner.
