Tuesday meeting was called to order by President Brian at precisely 12:15. Joe V. led us in the opening prayer and Joe P. led us in God Bless America. Many thanks to the Wyndam staff for the hot meal which consisted of broiled chicken breast with a choice of pasta or vegetables.

 

Secretary’s Report:  No Club guest or member guest.

 

                                    Club anniversaries Sue G. 14 Years and Bruce M. 30 Years.

Congratulations’ to both of these long time members.

President’s Report:   Brian’s only announcement was that on February 9, 2010 the district council will have a special meeting with a significant speaker in the name of Ainash T. Alpeissovd. He is a member of the Boston Rotary Club and an Ambassadorial Scholar from Karakhstan. The meeting will take place at the Danversport Yacht Club all those interest in attending please check with the district web site or call Brian.

 

From our sergeant-at-arms Mitch: The general fine question of the day was whose picture is associated with the potential elimination of Polio. The answer was Desmond Tutu, of South Africa.

 

Happy moments:

                        Ken was grateful to the staff at Mass General Hospital when he got admitted to the I.C.Unit with chest pains and a life threaten situation. Glad to hear that he was patched up that day and release the next day.

 

                        Bruce was sad that his home team in Green Bay was eliminated in the first round of the NFL. Playoffs. Several member were also heard from on there displeasure with New England.

 

                        Sue G. was happy to report that she had a great time on her weekend ski trip.

 

                        Juan G. was happy to announce that his Columbia project had just received a contribution of medical supplies and equipment for the newly constructed hospital in his home land.

 

 New Member Inducted:  Congratulations to our newest member Madelyn Garcia. Madelyn is a member of the business community in Chelsea who runs a Real Estate office situated in Chelsea.

In her acceptance speech she thanks the members for allowing her to join such a prestigious club.
