The June 15, 2010 meeting of the Chelsea Rotary Club was called to order by President Brian.  PP Bruce offered the blessing and PE Tom lead the singing of “God Bless America”.  There were 27 members present and 17 guests.  Late arrivals were PP Sue, Bill and Peter.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Installation of Officers is next Thursday evening at the Nahant Country Club.

Raffle tickets for the Chelsea clock should be turned in to PP Saritin.

Silent auction items should be turned in to PP Patrick.

Acting Secretary PP Bruce announced there were no birthdays or Rotary anniversaries.  Lois introduced her guest Marilyn Gozdon.  There were also 16 guests of the Club associated with the scholarship presentations.

SSA Mitch took center stage and announced the general fine was for every member who had not responded to PP Sue with their tickets to the installation.

The following happy/sad fines were paid:

PP Bruce for a softball blunder, the Celtics’ victory and daughter Nikki making the honor roll and moving to the 7th grade.

SSA Mitch paid for contributing to the softball blunder.

PP Mike enjoyed the birthday party Saturday night and playing golf with the original Tuesday foursome, although he only named three.

PP Barry enjoyed the 29th birthday party, winning money from the original foursome, the Celtics’ victory, being the winning pitcher in last week’s softball game and maintaining his 1.000 batting average.

Kevin is celebrating his 10th wedding anniversary; he met his wife at the Nahant Country Club and enjoyed the Celtics’ victory.

PP Saritin did gardening and yard work with her husband Dave last weekend.

PE Tom paid for all the scholarship recipients.

PP Rick missed the surprise birthday party.

Bill paid for the softball team’s one game winning streak.

Bob A enjoyed Celtics’ victory and was leaving early.

PP Joe was happy for the softball victory and the softball blunders because there were no after game lectures from the coach, Celtics’ victory and being selected as the Rotarian of the Year.
